Connie McSwain
5th District

Born
in Nashville, Tennessee, Connie moved to
Paris in 1973 as the bride of John McSwain.
For several years, she worked on the farm
and taught horse backing riding lessons. She
has a "C" rating with the National
Pony Club Association.
She is the
proud mother of three sons. Two of these
sons still live in Henry County, while one
lives in Old Hickory. In 2007, she was
blessed with the birth of her first
grandchild.
She was
employed by the Paris Special School System
for fourteen years. She was President of the
PTO, soccer coach, soccer referee, baseball
mom, tennis mom, football mom, 4-H mom, and
finally rodeo mom to two bull riders and one
calf roper. Good Times!
In 2000,
she became the Director of the W.G. Rhea
Public Library. She graduated from Austin
Peay University as a Certified Library
Manager in 2005.
She has had
the honor and privilege of working on
several Boards and Advisory Councils. She
has been a member of the Paris Rotary Club
for nine years while serving as secretary
for five of those years. She has had the
pleasure of working on many community
projects. Public service is her passion.
Her
greatest concern is that all people be
involved in their government, especially
their local government and to let their
voices and concerns be heard. |
