two agencies creating a "side by side"
working environment in which manpower,
equipment, and information is shared.
The role of
the unit is to investigate drug offenses,
drug offenders, as well as any drug related
criminal activity or major crime. The Metro
Crime Unit's duties are achieved through
search warrants, covert drug operations, or

The Metro
Crime Unit also plays a vital role in the
education of drug awareness to the public
